Zolani is a results-driven labour and technical professional with over 25 years’ experience in labour relations, quality assurance and control, nuclear manufacturing, and metrology. He is a former trade union leader, having occupied positions of Regional Secretary and then union General Secretary. He has extensive experience and expertise in negotiations, representation, mediation, dispute resolution, and policy development in both the public and private sectors, including NEDLAC, defence, energy, and higher education. He completed the Commercial and Court-Aligned Mediation Training Course from the University of Cape (UCT) and also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Law from the University of the Western Cape (UWC), which is a Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) approved qualification for commissioners.
