39 years' experience as a medical doctor and currently registered with Health Professions Council of South Africa. I started working as a medical officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in public health service for four years and moved into private general medical practice for sixteen years, followed by medical scheme principal executive officer. I then went back to public service in Gauteng Department of Health in the following order: Chief Medical Officer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Clinical Manager, Chief Director of Forensic Medical Services and Deputy Director General of Hospital Services. I am currently a member of Executive Board of South African Medical and Dental Practitioners Association (SAMDP). I attended mediation training with University of Cape Town Law faculty, facilitated by Mediation in Motion.
