Expertise
I am desirous to be appointed as Mediator in RAF matters. The provisions of the Judge President's Medication Directive and Mediation Protocol, Gauteng Division, April 2025, are noted.
I was admitted as an Advocate in 1993. During 1993 to 1997 I was appointed as a Family Advocate in terms of the Mediation in Certain Divorce Matters Act 24 of 1987. Where after I successfully completed the National Bar Exam during 1998.
Since 1998 to date I have been practising as an Advocate specialising in RAF matters mainly and have extensive experience, knowledge and skills in such matters. I have appeared as Counsel and curator ad litem in numerous RAF matters in the Cape Town and Pretoria High Court. Various matters (with significant quantum) have been successfully settled with the RAF. I refer inter alia also to the well-known case of De Jongh v Du Pisanie N.O (220/2003) [2004] ZASCA 43.
My personal aptitude and preference are towards mediation and/or settlement of RAF matters.
I am willing to travel to Pretoria and Cape Town to conduct mediation at the offices of the Plaintiff's attorneys, alternatively the RAF's offices.
