I have participated in the SAMLA/RAF mediation pilot project; I progressed to being the primary Mediator. I am confident in maintaining an objective attitude while being empathetic towards the parties. I am able to assist the parties reach a mutually satisfying agreement.
Qualifications
I graduated from MEDUNSA, as Occupational Therapist in 1989. Since then, I have worked in multiple settings of rehabilitation; these included Orthopedic, Medical/Surgical, Neurological, Head Injury, Geriatrics and Pediatrics; I worked in the USA for 21years in the same capacity. I am a Certified Mediator (MIMM/UCT) and a Certified FCE (evaluation of disability after an injury). I am trained in Foundations of Medico Legal Practice (SAMLA/UCT). My practice currently focuses on the assessments of RAF, COID, Incapacity Assessments, Chronic Pain Management and Rehabilitation. I was a SAMLA Chairperson (KZN Branch) in 2022, current member of OTASA (Occupational Therapists of South Africa), a member of CMASA (Case Management Association of South Africa), and a registered HPCSA practitioner.
